About

ABOUT TALL & SHORT THEATRE CO

Tall & Short Theatre Co Incorporated is a not-for-profit community theatre organisation, established in 2023 and formally registered in 2024 with a vision to build a resilient, inclusive and thriving performing arts community through accessible, high-quality theatre and meaningful development opportunities.
Our mission is to create space for performers, whether they have completed formal training, are emerging artists or simply love to perform. We offer a platform where individuals can learn through creative development and collaboration, connect with a vibrant community of artists and audiences, and grow in confidence as they take steps toward industry pathways. Operating in the Sutherland Shire, we bring local stories and talent to life across stages and rehearsal rooms alike from the Pavilion Performing Arts Centre & the Sutherland Arts Theatre to the Sutherland Seniors Centre and Loftus Community Centre.
In 2024, we staged productions of Cruel Intentions: The ’90s Musical and MAMMA MIA!. In 2025, we returned with sold-out seasons of Grease and Chicago, further strengthening our commitment to delivering bold, high-calibre theatre in the community setting.
Our work is grounded in values of collaboration, creativity and inclusion. We are proud to champion diversity both on and off stage, actively adopting anti-racism and access practices. We maintain a minimum 25% representation of bla(c)k, Indigenous, people of colour, gender-diverse, neurodiverse, disabled and body-diverse artists in our productions.
We believe theatre should be a space where everyone feels welcome and valued. For us, success is not just measured in applause or sold-out houses, but in the opportunities, we create, the stories we tell, and the people we bring together.
Our Vision
To build a resilient, inclusive and thriving performing arts community through accessible, high-quality theatre and meaningful development opportunities.

Our Mission
